Standard Radio Dog Fence with Ultralight Receiver
We recommend this dog fence if your dog is 5 pounds or over and trains very easily. The Ultralight Receiver has one level of correction and does not have the low battery indicator light.
You can contain an unlimited number of dogs or cats on your fence as long as each of them has a receiver.
How the Standard Radio Dog Fence Works
The transmitter plugs into a standard outlet and emits a radio signal that travels along an underground wire. You can adjust the signal to up to 15 feet from the wire. In most cases, a 4-6 foot signal field will be the best for optimal training. The lightweight receiver worn on your pet's collar picks up the radio signal and alerts him as he nears the boundary that you have customized for your yard. When he approaches the boundary, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not harmful. Our maintenance free design and ease of installation offers tremendous savings compared to conventional fencing and other systems of this type.
Radio Fence makes it easy to train your pet. By spending just 15 minutes a day working with your pet, he can be fully trained in a few days. You can train as many dogs as you want on the same system, as long as they are each wearing a receiver collar. Additional receivers are available if your have more than one dog.
Radio Fence offers the flexibility you need to solve your installation needs. Bury the boundary wire underground approximately 1-2 inches deep. Using your own design, you can protect your flower and seedbeds, shrubs, trees and even swimming pools.

Exclusive Features:
- Ideal for any size yard, even up to 10 acres.
- Safety features include:
- Digitally coded signal to prevent false activation. Only our transmitter can activate the receiver. Other brand receivers can be activated by televisions, cordless phones, garage door openers, etc. We use filters and coded signals to prevent this. Don't trust your pet's safety to anything but a PetSafe Containment System.
- Receiver Fail-Safe. If your pet gets trapped in the correction zone, the receiver will shut down after 20 seconds to prevent over correction.
- The Ultralight Receiver is completely waterproof.
- Audio break alarm and light on the transmitter warns you if the wire has been broken.
- Along with our Deluxe Ultralight Receiver, the Ultralight is the smallest and lightest receiver available anywhere - bar none!
- Omni-Directional Signal - A must for all containment systems as it eliminates all dead signal areas. This prevents your pet from finding a way out. A must for any system.
- Adjustable Correction Zone - Allowing you to set the correction field from a few feet all the way up to 20 feet.
- Transmitter cover conceals range adjustment control to prevent tampering and accidental increases or decreases in signal.
- The only UL and CE rated system on the market.
- Easy-to-follow on-line manual covering installation and pet training.
This system is for ONE dog and for yards up to 1/3 acre.
We recommend you get extra batteries with your order. Initial system set up and pet training will create more drain on the batteries than normal. Typically the batteries included with the receiver will need to be replaced after 30-60 days. Battery life under normal usage averages 4-6 months. The Ultralight Receiver uses the RFA-67D-11 battery module.
Alternate Above Ground Installation (can be purchased at time of ordering)
A common misconception about "Underground Fencing" is that it needs to be buried "Underground". This unfortunate but understandable misconception often scares many people away from enjoying the freedom that these fences provide both you and your pet.
There is no need to spend a weekend burying the wire underground, or paying some one hundreds of dollars to bury the boundary wire when it can be installed above ground in only a matter of an hour or two.
Using the wire Sod Staples, you can "Staple" the wire to the ground. Within a matter of 7 -14 days the root system of your lawn will grow over the wire and hide it completely from view, essentially "Burying" it into the lawn. Not only does this make the installation of your new pet containment system hassle free, it also eliminates any potential loss of signal that may result from buying the boundary wire under several inches of dirt, not to mention the backaches and blisters it will save you.
