This Stubborn Dog Fence does not include Wire and Flags.

This system is used if you already have wire installed from a previous system, or you can use this to UPGRADE from any other pet containment system with your existing wire and training flags. 

 We recommend this dog fence if your dog is over 30 pounds and is extremely stubborn or hard to train. The Stubborn Dog Receiver has five levels of correction plus vibration in the warning area for an added deterrent and a low battery light to let you know when to replace the battery. Level five on the Stubborn Dog Receiver is approximately 25% stronger than level five on the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver and three times stronger than our Ultralight Receiver. Some breeds need the Stubborn Dog Receiver even though they may not necessarily be hard to train. Our experience has found the Labs, Shepherds, Akitas and similar breeds often need the Stubborn Dog Receiver. This is usually due to these breeds being less sensitive to the correction due to thick skin and/or thick fur.

You can contain an unlimited number of dogs or cats on your fence as long as each of them has a receiver.

  • Digitally coded signal to prevent false activation. Only our transmitter can activate the receiver. Other brands' receivers can be activated by televisions, cordless phones, garage door openers, etc. We use filters and coded signals to prevent this. Don't trust your pet's safety to anything but a PetSafe^TM Containment System.

  • Receiver Fail-Safe. If your et gets trapped in the correction zone, the receiver will shut down after 20 seconds to prevent over correction.

• Audio break alarm and light on the transmitter warns you if the wire has been broken.

• Built-in lightning and surge protection for storm-prone areas. If you live in an area that is highly prone to lightning or surges, you may want to consider our Lighting Protection Module. Regardless, your system is covered under warranty against lightning or surge damage.

   Initial system set-up and pet training will create more drain on the batteries than normal. Typically the batteries included with the receiver will need to be replaced after 30-60 days. Battery life under normal usage averages 4-6 months. The Stubborn Dog Receiver uses a common 9-volt battery.
